Tyrese Smith, a 20-year-old male Romford paedophile, was given a seven-year extended sentence in 2024 and is considered a public risk due to his engagement in sexual activity with a youngster.
Tyrese Smith, a resident of Romford’s Grove Road, will serve a four-year, eight-month sentence in a juvenile detention facility before receiving a two-year, four-month extended license.
His guilty pleas to all charges made against him by Essex Police, including three counts of having intercourse with a juvenile, led to this punishment.
He also admitted to other accusations made by the Metropolitan Police regarding having intercourse with a youngster and having pornographic images of children.
Concerns about alleged sexual activity between Tyrese Smith and a youngster in the Tilbury area last year prompted investigations by officers from the Child Abuse Investigations Team (CAIT), with assistance from the Adult Sexual Abuse Investigation Team (ASAIT) and the Greys Local Investigations Team.
This also came after it was reported that Tyrese Smith had broken the terms of his bail issued by the Metropolitan Police.
On November 27 of last year, Tyrese Smith was captured.
Just hours earlier, he was heard making a noteworthy comment while fleeing the victim’s home, indicating his fear of going to jail for his crimes.
Tyrese Smith refused to answer any questions during the interrogation, but at Basildon Crown Court, he later admitted to all of the allegations.
He was given an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order and mandatory conditions as a Registered Sex Offender during his court sentence on Wednesday, February 28. These restrictions will monitor his usage of electronic devices and limit his interaction with youngsters.
