Denis Donnell, the Johnstone Paedophile, has been convicted today, Friday, 24 October 2025, of raping a girl under his care at a children’s home in Johnstone.

Denis Donnell, 47, was found guilty of four offences, including sexual assault and rape, after a trial at the High Court in Paisley.

The incidents occurred over three weeks in December 2022 and January 2023, involving a girl residing at the home where Denis Donnell served as care manager.

Denis Donnell was apprehended and indicted in January 2023 following the victim’s expression of concerns to other personnel within the facility.

Denis Donnell’s sentencing will occur at a subsequent date.
