The Offender Database reported that PC Craig Winston, the Gloucestershire Police Rapist, was found guilty of sexually assaulting two women.
A 36-year-old man has been convicted of raping one woman and sexually abusing another.
Craig Winston, a former member of the Gloucestershire Police, has been undergoing trial at Shrewsbury Crown Court since 4 December.
On Wednesday, December 17, a jury convicted him of four offences against one woman:
- two counts of rape
- one count of causing a female to engage in non-penetrative sexual activity
- one count of controlling and coercive behaviour
- one count of sexual assault by penetration involving another woman.
Gloucestershire Police pointed out that the rapes and sexual assaults occurred while Craig Winston was off duty (not sure if this brings any solace to his victims, though).
He was found not guilty of four additional charges, and unbelievably, Craig Winston was released on bail and sent home by the court.
He is due to be sentenced at Shrewsbury Crown Court on 6 February 2026.
