Zoe Upchurch, then aged 30, of Walpole Street, Derby, Derbyshire, was handed a three-year community order at Nottingham Crown Court on 20 August 2026 after being convicted of four counts of child cruelty.
The criminal proceedings followed an investigation by Derbyshire Police involving offences committed against three children.
Upchurch stood trial at Nottingham Crown Court in May 2026 alongside co-defendants Ralph Fletcher and Ronald Fletcher, who were jailed for serious child sexual offences.
Following deliberations, the jury found Upchurch guilty of:
- Four counts of child cruelty
Sentencing Upchurch on 20 August 2026, the presiding judge imposed a three-year community order with structured rehabilitation activity requirements.
The court also issued a lifetime restraining order prohibiting Upchurch from contacting or approaching any of the three children involved in the proceedings.
