Toby Wright, the Derby Paedophile, a convicted sex offender who transmitted a sexually graphic message to an eight-year-old girl online, has been incarcerated.

Toby Wright added the young female on Snapchat and subsequently sent her a message stating, “You’re cute.” She promptly replied, requesting him to desist from contacting her and disclosing her age. He subsequently responded that he preferred ‘young chicks.’

The child informed her parents and surrendered her phone; nonetheless, Toby Wright persisted in transmitting recordings, including one depicting him engaging in a sexual act.

Toby Wright had already received a term for engaging with a youngster after grooming.

The communications with the eight-year-old were revealed during his incarceration for that offence, following a report by the girl’s parents to the police, leading to his interview while imprisoned.

The 27-year-old resident of Belgrave Street, Derby, was charged with engaging in sexual communication with a child; causing a child under 13 to view an image of sexual activity; possessing an indecent photograph or pseudo-photograph of a child; and distributing an indecent photograph or pseudo-photograph of a child.

Toby Wright acknowledged the offences and appeared at Derby Crown Court for sentencing on 13 October, when he was sentenced to five years and four months in prison, accompanied by an extended licence period of four years and eight months.

Toby Wright was issued a Sexual Harm Prevention Order with a duration of ten years, along with a restraining order prohibiting any contact with the victim.

A destruction order was also issued for his mobile device.
