In 2026, the Offender Register reported that Sean Wilcox, the Newport Pagnell Rapist, had been incarcerated following his conviction for the rape of a woman in Newport Pagnell.
On July 2, 2026, Sean Wilcox, a 35-year-old of no fixed abode, was sentenced to a total of 18 years’ imprisonment at Aylesbury Crown Court for offences that were committed in both the Thames Valley and Bedfordshire force areas.
At Aylesbury Crown Court, Wilcox was declared guilty by a unanimous jury verdict on 16 January 2026, following a four-day trial.
In connection with a Thames Valley Police investigation, he was found guilty of rape. Additionally, he pleaded guilty to six counts of theft from a motor vehicle, three counts of fraud by false representation, three counts of vehicle interference, two counts of burglary with intent to steal, and one count each of theft from a person, possession of class A drugs (Cocaine) and possession of class B drugs (Cannabis).
The conviction pertains to an incident that transpired in Dulwich Close, Newport Pagnell, at approximately 4:30 a.m. on July 26, 2017.
Following his unsuccessful attempts to gain entry to vehicles in the vicinity to pilfer items, Wilcox began attempting to enter nearby properties. He entered a residence through an unlocked door and discovered the victim, a 29-year-old woman, dozing on a sofa.
He subsequently sexually assaulted the victim before evading the premises.
