In 2022, Richard Weaver, a London Rapist, was sentenced to 13 years in prison for slashing a lady in the hand and raping her in an assault that was “so terrifying she feared for her life.”

Richard Weaver, 48, and the victim were present in a residence in Newham at the time of the assault.

The assault occurred on October 3, 2019, shortly after the victim, acquainted with Richard Weaver, arrived home from work, as presented in Snaresbrook Crown Court.

The pair engaged in a dispute, after which Richard Weaver ascended the stairs to confront the victim, subjecting her to verbal abuse before striking her in the face and slashing her hand with a knife.

The court heard that she sustained severe injuries and was compelled to engage in sexual acts with him multiple times during the night before he ultimately permitted her to depart for medical assistance for her hand.

Richard Weaver promptly reconsidered and instructed her to remain, yet she successfully evaded him and fled to a nearby street, where she contacted the police.

The police swiftly intervened, escorting her to a secure location and offering assistance from specialised personnel.

Richard Weaver, who has no permanent residence, was convicted of rape, making threats to kill, false imprisonment, illegal wounding, and actual bodily harm during a trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court and received a 13-year prison sentence.
