Levy Drew Richard Rowell perpetrated a horrific assault on the child in October 2022, after which she successfully escaped and notified the authorities.
The 21-year-old was apprehended and, while refuting any awareness of the offence during interrogation, law enforcement was able to trace the evidence, leading to his eventual charges of rape and assault by penetration.
