IN 2026, Kevin Kerjean, the alleged child killer, was charged with RAPE and murder after a two-year-old girl’s body was found at a Chertsey house on Thursday night, June 25.

Kevin Kerjean, a 31-year-old French national born in the Central African Republic on February 21, 1995, was also charged earlier today, June 27, with sexual assault and rape of a child under 13. He has been placed under remand in detention.

He was detained before his next appearance at Guildford Crown Court on Monday, June 29, following his appearance at Guildford Magistrates’ Court today.

On Thursday, June 25, at around 5:40 p.m., police were summoned to an address on Pyrcroft Road due to a safety concern.

Sadly, a two-year-old daughter was discovered dead inside the residence upon arrival.

Kevin Kerjean, 31 (DOB 21/02/1995), applied for European Union Settled Status in December 2020 after lawfully entering the UK, according to the Home Office.

In March 2021, he was permitted to stay in the UK, and in March 2031, he was granted an extension.

The Major Crime Team is currently investigating to determine the circumstances behind the girl’s death.

We are not currently searching for anyone else in relation to the incident.

This is a tragic incident, and our thoughts are with the child’s family as well as all those who knew her,” stated Detective Chief Superintendent Jon Groenen.

Over the next few days, there will be a substantial police presence on Pyrcroft Road as our teams work diligently to piece together what transpired.

We understand that residents will be concerned about both the incident and the large police presence, and we would like to thank them for their cooperation as we conduct our investigation.
