In relation to a Sheffield rape report, we are making available a CCTV image of a black man we would like to talk with.

On June 18, at approximately 5:25 p.m., we received a call in our control room informing us that a teenage girl had been raped close to Cat Lane in Gleadless Valley.

Since we got the first report, we have conducted extensive efforts, including CCTV checks, house-to-house enquiries, and forensic investigations.

We are now requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the individual in this picture, as we believe he may be able to assist our investigations.

Are you familiar with him? He is characterised as a large, Black man who stands about five feet six inches tall.

He was dressed in dark burgundy trousers, a black hooded jacket, a black backpack and white trainers with black or grey accents when the picture was shot.
