In 2021, the Offender Register confirmed that A man had confessed to possessing an appalling collection of images depicting child sexual abuse.
Keith Scott, 22, has been indicted on the Sex Offenders’ Register for maintaining the repulsive inventory at his residence.
Yesterday, Scott, a resident of Ayr, confessed to two charges during his appearance at Ayr Sheriff Court.
The initial charge to which he entered a guilty plea was that he “did take or permit to be taken or make indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of children.”
He confessed to the second charge, which alleged that the images were in his possession at his residence in the Ayrshire town.
Prosecutor Martina McGuigan informed the court that the prosecution was not seeking a Sexual Offences Prevention Order. This severe court order restricts the activities of sex offenders while they are residing in the community.
Sheriff John Montgomery did not hear the facts of the case and postponed the sentencing until the following month.
