In 2026, the #OffenderRegister reported that a 14-year sentence had been imposed on Florin Panainte, a #SexOffender, for attempting to rape an adolescent.
In October of the previous year, Florin Panainte assaulted the girl at an address in Morecambe.
Panainte was apprehended in #Morecambe the same day after informing her family of the incident.
A jury at Preston Crown Court found Panainte, 38, of no permanent address, guilty of attempted rape following a trial.
On June 26, he was sentenced to 14 years, including 9 years’ imprisonment and a 5-year extended licence period upon his return to the dock.
He was subject to a 20-year restraining order and a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
