In 2021, the Offender Register confirmed that a paedophile had been incarcerated for directing one of his victims to view a video of older males raping children.
David Gardner, then 65, was sentenced to 11 years in prison for the assault he committed between 2000 and 2010.
Gardner, who resides in Skelmersdale, was also placed on the Sex Offenders Register for life after being found guilty of sexually assaulting a boy and a girl who were between the ages of 10 and 13.
The defendant’s actions were questioned by one of the victims, even though the victim was too young to comprehend them fully. Gardner responded by stating that it was “all just fun.”
Additionally, he compelled one of his victims to view videos of older males raping children.
Upon Gardner’s arrest, officers confiscated his electronic devices, which contained thousands of indecent images of minors and extreme pornography.
Gardner, a resident of Alderley, Skelmersdale, entered a plea of guilty to possessing indecent images of children, causing/inciting sexual activity with a child, and engaging in sexual activity with a child.
Preston Crown Court sentenced him.
