In 2022, the Offender Register reported that David Crapper, 38, was sentenced to 17 years’ imprisonment, with an additional 4 years of supervised release.
Kim Crapper, 39, his wife, has been sentenced to six years of imprisonment, with an additional three years of probation.
The perpetrators were apprehended after the victim, who is not identified for legal reasons, disclosed their conduct to a friend.
The defendants entered pleas of guilty to sexual assault of a child under 13, sexual assault, causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, and engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child.
David Crapper, from Barry, also entered a plea of guilty to rape and causing a child to witness a sexual act.
On Friday, November 18, they were sentenced at Cardiff Crown Court.
The abuse commenced when the girl was very small and was perpetrated over a period of several years, according to the court.
