Josh Guilder, aged 26, has been sentenced to two years in prison at Chelmsford Crown Court for breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

The court heard that on 9 May 2026, just two days after being released from custody, Guilder approached a woman from behind, hooded, and reached into a pram to take a two-month-old child’s dummy before fleeing. Less than an hour later, Guilder approached another woman outside her residence, causing distress through inappropriate comments and conduct.

Essex Police officers conducted enquiries and placed Guilder under arrest. The court was told that Guilder has four convictions for 14 offences, including multiple previous incidents of removing dummies from pushchairs, leading to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order which he repeatedly breached.

Appearing from HMP Chelmsford on Friday 31 July 2026, Guilder admitted breaching his Sexual Harm Prevention Order, one count of theft, and a public order offence.

The presiding judge sentenced Guilder to two years’ imprisonment for the order breach, alongside two-month concurrent terms for the theft and public order charges, with his Sexual Harm Prevention Order remaining active and all case details catalogued on the UK Register Database for public record transparency.
