Craig Haines, who repeatedly raped a teenage girl, was sentenced to prison for crimes committed over 30 years ago.
Craig Haines, who was eighteen at the time, attacked the adolescent between December 1991 and April 1992.
According to the victim, the crimes took place at his residence on Dale Road in Rochester. He would occasionally threaten her with violence as well.
When Haines, now 53, was questioned by police, he first denied knowing the victim.
On March 4, 2026, he entered a guilty plea at Southwark Crown Court after being charged with two charges of rape.
On June 11, he was sentenced to eight years and six months in prison at the same court. Additionally, he was permanently added to the sex offenders registry.
Detective Constable Emma Davies, the investigating officer, stated: “Haines abused the young victim, leaving her traumatised, and his actions have had a lasting and profound impact upon her life.” “I want to thank the victim for her courage in reporting her experience and helping with the investigation.” “I’m hoping that the case’s outcome and the sentence she received will give her some closure.” “I would advise anyone who has experienced sexual abuse, regardless of when it occurred, to contact Kent Police.” We will always look into offences with tact and professionalism, and you have our undivided support.
Still no mugshot though…must be nice for the paedophile to remain anonymous.
