The Offender Database reported, in 2021, Ian Sargent, the Peacehaven Paedophile Child Molester, a then 58-year-old man, received a suspended prison sentence for indecently assaulting a 13-year-old girl in Hove.
Ian Sargent, residing on Cissbury Avenue in Peacehaven, near Brighton, was granted reprieve from an immediate prison sentence at his appearance before child rapist sympathiser Judge Stephen Mooney at Lewes Crown Court on Monday, February 8, 2021.
Ian Sargent denied charges of child indecency and two counts of indecent assault.
In December, a jury at Hove Crown Court was informed that the charges occurred 19 years prior.
Ian Sargent was found guilty by the jury four days prior to Christmas, concluding a four-day trial.
He received a 15-month prison sentence, suspended for 18 months, for one of the indecent assaults.
He received a nine-month prison sentence, to be served concurrently and suspended for 18 months, for the additional indecent assault.
He received a six-month prison term, to be served concurrently and suspended for 18 months, for the charge of child indecency.
Ian Sargent was also mandated to participate in 30 rehabilitation sessions and to register as a sex offender for a duration of 10 years.
An Appeal is in effect for previous victims of Ian Sargent to come forward and report him to Sussex Police.
