Andrew Geeson, the Quadring Paedophile and Sex Offender, a 27-year-old home support worker, was sentenced to five years and four months in jail for the sexual exploitation of a juvenile girl.
The incident occurred in a children’s home in south Lincolnshire, where Andrew Geeson was employed to care for at-risk youths.
Andrew Geeson’s wrongdoing was exposed following investigations that uncovered a troubling pattern of grooming and sexual conduct with a girl who was 15 years old at the onset of the inappropriate relationship.
The court was informed that Andrew Geeson abused his trusted role at the children’s home to establish contact with the girl, who was residing there owing to her precarious situation.
Prosecutor Jonathon Dee delineated the chronology of events, indicating that the relationship commenced with ostensibly innocuous actions, including kissing and digital penetration, when the victim was under 15 years old.
Dee asserted that Andrew Geeson was cognisant of her age; however, he persisted in his acts despite admonitions from the home staff and the issuance of a child abduction notice intended to avert such misconduct.
The court was notified that following the girl’s sixteenth birthday, the relationship progressed to sexual intercourse.
This development was characterised by an outing with Andrew Geeson, during which he purchased a Pandora bracelet for her, signifying a profound emotional bond.
The sexual contacts allegedly transpired at least five additional times before Andrew Geeson was suspended and subsequently terminated from his post in June 2020.
Notwithstanding his termination, Andrew Geeson persisted in his interactions with the victim, since court images depicted him seated with her on his lap, signifying continued contact.
Upon interrogation by law enforcement, Andrew Geeson originally refuted any sexual conduct but subsequently admitted guilt to two counts of sexual behaviour with a minor while in a position of trust, in addition to two further offences concerning sexual activity with a minor.
The victim, who could not be named for legal reasons, bravely read a heartfelt statement in court.
She described her experience as a vulnerable 14-year-old placed in a children’s home, emphasising her need for care and safety at that time.
She expressed how Andrew Geeson’s actions had profoundly altered her life, stating, “Instead, he took away years of my life.” Judge Simon King, who presided over the case, delivered a stern sentence, condemning Andrew Geeson’s conduct as a blatant and egregious breach of trust.
The judge highlighted the severity of the abuse, noting that it was particularly aggravating that Andrew Geeson had attempted to manipulate the victim by threatening suicide, destroying evidence on his phone and social media, and ignoring prior warnings about his behaviour.
As part of his sentence, Andrew Geeson was ordered to register as a sex offender and was permanently barred from working with children.
The case serves as a stark reminder of the importance of safeguarding vulnerable young people and the devastating consequences when those entrusted with their care abuse that trust.
