A guy, Muhammed Usman, the Birmingham Paedophile, has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for participating in sexual activities with a vulnerable adolescent girl.
Muhammed Usman, residing on Bloomsbury Street, admitted guilt to seven counts of engaging in sexual conduct with a female suffering from a mental health illness and one count of possessing obscene photos of minors.
On Wednesday, January 15, at Birmingham Crown Court, the 39-year-old was sentenced to 12 years in prison, with an additional 5 years of extended supervision on licence. In addition to incarceration, Muhammed Usman was registered as a sex offender and issued a lifetime restraining order.
Muhammed Usman’s misconduct was revealed on 22 June of the previous year when we received a phone call reporting that he had been apprehended for abusing a vulnerable teenage girl.
We confiscated his phone and uncovered recordings he recorded of the abuse, which implicated both himself and the survivor of his assault.
Hirah Khan, from our Adult Complex Investigation team, said: “Muhammed Usman took advantage of a vulnerable teenage girl for his own sexual gratification. We are pleased with the sentence which sends out a clear message that people who behave in this depraved way will be convicted and will spend many years behind bars.
“We are thankful to the survivor of his abuse and her family who helped us as we investigated right up to its successful conclusion.”
It is important to note that survivors of sexual abuse are protected by law and have life-long anonymity.
