A Northamptonshire Police special constable Paedophile, Steven Hayden-Tift, imprisoned for engaging in a sexualised internet conversation with someone he believed to be a kid would have been dismissed had he not already resigned, stated an absolute div from Northamptonshire Police.

Paedophile Steven Hayden-Tift, formerly of Northamptonshire Police, inadvertently communicated with an undercover investigator impersonating a 14-year-old on social media and a dating application.

According to the authorities, he transmitted explicit images of himself and solicited comparable photographs in return.

A disciplinary process for gross misconduct determined that Steven Hayden-Tift would have been terminated without notice had he not previously resigned from the force.

In May, Steven Hayden-Tift received a sentence of two years and six months, with half of that time to be served in prison.

Steven Hayden-Tift was found guilty by a jury at Northampton Crown Court of attempting sexual communication with a child and attempting to incite a child to engage in sexual activity.

Steven Hayden-Tift was also given a five-year sexual harm prevention order and placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register.

Chief constable Nick Adderley said Steven Hayden-Tift had shown “no regard to his partner, family or fellow officers” when he committed the “depraved and despicable act”.

Mr Adderley added: “My only regret is that the sentence wasn’t longer.”
