In 2026, the Offender Database confirmed that in Totton, a 61-year-old man, Peter Bryan Rudd, from Southampton, was sentenced to 16 years and nine months in prison for child sex offences.

Yesterday, Thursday, July 16, Southampton Crown Court sentenced Peter Bryan Rudd, of Acacia Road.

Rudd was convicted of two counts of sexual activity with a minor and raping an 11-year-old child after a five-day trial at the same court, which took place from Tuesday, April 7, to Monday, April 13.

The police were initially informed of his crimes, which occurred over four years, in May 2024.

Rudd was also subject to a 20-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order, a lifetime restraining order, and the Sex Offenders‘ Register for life, in addition to the time he will now serve behind bars. This order prohibits him from having any contact with the victim.
