Sergeant Richard Heard, due for trial charged with three charges of rape and three counts of voyeurism is a Hampshire and Isle of Wight police officer rapist.
Police Sergeant Richard Heard, 43, is also accused of one act of perverting the course of justice, one count of assault by beating and one count of controlling or coercive behaviour.
Against one victim, all of the claimed crimes occurred between January 2022 and August 2023 while the officer was off-duty.
The officer is then subjected to another count of hostile correspondence directed against a second victim.
This claimed incident happened in June 2023 when the officer was off-duty. A trial scheduled for July 15 at Bournemouth Crown Court Right now, the Richard Heard is suspended ON FULL PAY.
WITNESS INTIMIDATION AND BREAKING BAIL CONDITIONS
A police officer accused of rape communicated with his claimed victim, asserting that “no crimes were committed,” according to court testimony.
Jurors were presented with a communication between Sgt. Richard Heard and his purported victim, a female police officer.
Sgt Richard Heard, 44, of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary, has entered a plea of not guilty to three charges of rape and three charges of voyeurism.
The female officer has been testifying at Bournemouth Crown Court.
The court was informed that Sgt. Richard Heard transmitted the communication to her following his release from police bail in June 2023.
Jurors were informed that, as a condition of his bail, he was prohibited from contacting the victim.
For a non-police employee this would result in a charge of witness intimidation and immediate remand for breaking bail conditions.
