In 2021, Nathan Earle Delgado, a then 49-year-old man from Highgate, was jailed following a Metropolitan Police investigation into illicit digital material and online grooming.
Nathan Earle Delgado, of Highgate, Haringey, was sentenced at Wood Green Crown Court on Friday, 18 June 2021, to two years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple charges, including taking, making, and distributing prohibited digital media, as well as attempting to cause a child to watch a sexual act.
Officers from the Online Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Team executed a search at his address in March 2021, seizing electronic devices containing thousands of illegal files. Specialist forensic analysis revealed he had actively engaged in the creation and sharing of prohibited content across public and private networks. The investigation successfully dismantled his online presence and prevented further distribution of illicit material. Law enforcement officers highlighted the sophisticated digital techniques used to identify and prosecute offenders operating online.
In addition to his custodial sentence, Delgado was placed on the Sex Offenders Register for life. He was also made subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) for life to ensure strict monitoring of his future device access.
