Devon and Cornwall Police have launched a public appeal to locate 42-year-old Mitchel Adam Coton in connection with serious domestic abuse allegations in Cornwall.
Coton, from the Liskeard area, is wanted following reports of an assault involving non-fatal strangulation, as well as controlling and coercive behaviour, stalking, and criminal damage. Officers have carried out extensive preliminary enquiries to find him and are now requesting information from the public.
Police describe Coton as white, approximately 5ft 7in tall, of slim build, with dark brown hair and a pierced left ear. He has several distinctive tattoos, including an eagle on his left arm, a star and a “YIN YAN” symbol on his right arm, and a tribal design across his back.
On 10 August 2026, Devon and Cornwall Police warned members of the public not to approach Coton if spotted. Anyone with urgent information regarding his whereabouts is urged to call 999, or contact police on 101 quoting log 187 of August 10, 2026.
