British Transport Police detectives investigating a serious physical attack on a 17-year-old child outside Coventry railway station have released an image of a man they wish to trace.

The incident occurred at approximately 12:20am on Sunday 12 July 2026 outside the station entrance. Investigators reported that an unknown man approached the victim and made unwanted advances before carrying out an assault when she refused.

A friend accompanying the victim confronted the man, who subsequently fled the location.

Detectives leading the investigation believe the man pictured may hold information that could assist their enquiries.

Anyone who recognizes him is requested to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 808 of 12 July 2026.
