After a horrific attack in Corby in 2020, two Kirton and Broughton Rapists, Michael Rooney and Jimmy Doran, were found guilty of the rape of a woman.
On the evening of October 12, 23-year-old Michael Rooney and 22-year-old Jimmy Doran drove a woman to a Stanion Lane residence and forced her to consume half a bottle of white wine and a bottle of Lambrini.
After that, they raped her.
Despite having her phone taken away, the woman was able to flee, and shortly after, she reported the offences to Northamptonshire Police.
Following the start of an inquiry, Michael Rooney and Jimmy Doran were taken into custody and charged with rape.
Michael Rooney and Jimmy Doran were convicted by a jury after a six-day trial that concluded on August 26 at Northampton Crown Court.
On October 13, Jimmy Doran, of Kirton, Boston, and Michael Rooney, of Broughton, Kettering, will appear at Northampton Crown Court once more to receive their sentences

Two men have been incarcerated for the rape of a lady in Corby five years ago.
Michael Rooney, 23, and Jimmy Doran, 22, were convicted of the offence by a jury after a six-day trial at Northampton Crown Court that concluded on August 26 of this year.
The event occurred on the evening of October 12, 2020, when Michael Rooney and Jimmy Doran transported a woman to a location on Stanion Lane and thereafter compelled her to consume a bottle of Lambrini and half a bottle of white wine.
Michael Rooney and Jimmy Doran thereafter assaulted her sexually.
The woman successfully escaped despite having her phone confiscated, and shortly thereafter, she contacted Northamptonshire Police to report the offences.
An inquiry was initiated, resulting in the arrest of Michael Rooney and Jimmy Doran, who were eventually charged with rape.
Following their conviction, both men appeared at Northampton Crown Court on October 13, with Rooney, from Broughton, Kettering, receiving a sentence of seven years and nine months, while Doran, from Kirton, Boston, was sentenced to six years in jail.
