Mantas Gineitis, the Leiston Paedophile, a 32-year-old man, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison following his conviction for the rape of a minor.
Mantas Gineitis, from Leiston, first contested the charges against him but subsequently admitted guilt to five counts of raping a female and uttering threats to kill during a prior hearing.
Mantas Gineitis was sentenced to 20 years in prison at Ipswich Crown Court on Tuesday, 21 October. He has been permanently registered on the Sex Offenders Register.
The offences pertain to a single victim and occurred over an estimated duration of 18 months.
In her Victim Personal Statement, read out in court, the girl said: “The harm that has been inflicted on me cannot be undone, but I hope that by sharing my experience, full justice will be served. I deserve to move forward with a sense of closure and reassurance that steps will be taken to prevent this from happening to someone else.”
Mantas Gineitis has been incarcerated for 14 months.
