The Spennymoor Paedophile, Adam Fowler’s, criminal behaviour commenced when the girl was approximately eight years old and persisted until she reached her mid-teens.
The 36-year-old consistently compelled the young girl to transmit nude photographs in return for monetary compensation.
Adam Fowler attempted to coerce the girl into engaging in sexual acts with him for remuneration and subsequently sexually attacked her.
Adam Fowler’s misconduct was revealed when the child informed her mother, who subsequently notified the police.
A probe was initiated, resulting in Adam Fowler’s arrest.
His mobile phone was confiscated and analysed by experts, who discovered over 100 illicit photographs of minors stored on the device.
Adam Fowler was then charged with multiple offences, including enticing a minor to participate in sexual conduct, engaging in sexual behaviour with a minor, compensating a minor for sexual services, and several charges of producing indecent photos of a minor.
He was additionally charged with inducing a child to view a picture of sexual conduct after transmitting nude photographs of himself to another girl via Snapchat.
He acknowledged producing obscene photos of a child and compensating a child for sexual services, but refuted the other allegations.
Adam Fowler, from Spennymoor, subsequently altered his pleas to guilty prior to his trial at Durham Crown Court.
He appeared in court yesterday (October 22) and was sentenced to six years and four months of incarceration.
Adam Fowler was issued an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order and a ten-year restraining order prohibiting any contact with the girl.
