Luke Simon, aged 42, of Redditch, Worcestershire, was sentenced to a total custodial term of 27 years with an extended one-year licence at Worcester Crown Court after being convicted of 22 sexual offences against five girls under the age of 13.

The court heard that the offences spanned ten years and involved five primary school-aged girls. West Mercia Police commenced an investigation in 2023 after the offences were formally disclosed. During inquiries, Simon attempted to deflect blame onto the young victims by claiming they exhibited sexualised behaviour.

Simon pleaded not guilty to all charges and stood trial at Worcester Crown Court, where a jury convicted him of 22 out of 26 counts. Under UK concurrent sentencing rules, the sentences for the individual counts—which totalled 115 years—were ordered to run concurrently.

Appearing before Worcester Crown Court, Simon was sentenced for:

  • Count 1: Rape of a child under 13 – 27 years’ imprisonment and one-year extended licence
  • Count 2: Sexual assault of a child under 13 – 5 years’ imprisonment (concurrent)
  • Count 4: Rape of a child under 13 – 27 years’ imprisonment and one-year extended licence (concurrent)
  • Count 6: Sexual assault of a child under 13 – 5 years’ imprisonment (concurrent)
  • Count 7: Assault of a child under 13 by penetration – 14 years’ imprisonment and one-year extended licence (concurrent)
  • Counts 8, 10–23, and 26: Sexual assault of a child under 13 – 2 years’ imprisonment on each count (concurrent)
  • Count 24: Sexual assault of a child under 13 – 5 years’ imprisonment (concurrent)

The presiding judge sentenced Simon to a total effective term of 27 years in prison with a one-year extended licence, alongside a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and a restraining order prohibiting contact with the victims.
