Karl Davies, the Wirral Paedophile, a child molester who incited a susceptible young girl to engage in self-harm while sexually assaulting her for several months, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison, with a further five years on parole.
Karl Davies (06/02/1983), from Wirral, Merseyside, impersonated multiple individuals to groom and manipulate his victim, utilising counterfeit social media sites to assume diverse identities.
Karl Davies previously pleaded guilty to seventeen charges during his plea hearing at Manchester Crown Court on 22 May, encompassing ten acts of sexual conduct with a minor, four instances of grooming, and two counts of preparing or supporting the commission of a child sex offence.
Karl Davies also pleaded guilty to the charge of promoting or assisting serious self-harm.
This offence is among the earliest charged in the country and represents the first case involving a youngster.
The offence is categorised under the Online Safety Act 2023.
Karl Davies’s sentencing occurred today (20 October 2025) at Manchester Crown Court after an extensive investigation by GMP investigators.
