35-year-old Jamie Lee Scott, a Warrington Paedophile, was incarcerated for violating his Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
Jamie Lee Scott, residing on Arpley Street, Warrington, received a 27-month prison sentence at Chester Crown Court on Friday, November 18.
He had already admitted guilt to two violations of the injunction imposed upon him following his prior conviction for indecent exposure in 2008.
Jamie Lee Scott was mandated to comply with the notification obligations of the Sex Offender Register and issued a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
On Thursday, May 19, the court was informed that Jamie Lee Scott indecently exposed himself and commenced masturbating at Sankey Valley Park, Warrington, in the presence of two young girls who had paused in the park after school.
One of the girls called her parents and attempted to obtain a photograph of the man. The man fled in the direction of Ripley Street.
Subsequent investigations revealed that the officers located the individual at a garage and successfully identified him as Jamie Lee Scott.
On May 25, Jamie Lee Scott was apprehended and subsequently charged with indecent exposure, violating his sexual harm prevention order, and possession of a Class B narcotic (cannabis).
Police Constable Josh Meakin said: “As a registered sex offender, Jamie Lee Scott was required to adhere to a number of conditions to deter him from reoffending.
“Notwithstanding this, two young girls have been left profoundly disturbed and distressed by what Jamie Lee Scott subjected them to.”
“Violence against women and girls is a priority for the police force, and we are dedicated to ensuring that all individuals feel secure on the streets of Cheshire.”
“I would like to thank the courts who have helped keep Jamie Lee Scott off our streets with the sentence that has been handed down to him.
I trust this outcome ensures the public that we take action against registered sex offenders who violate this order.
“I also hope this acts as a deterrent to those with Sexual Harm Prevention Orders and highlights the consequences of not adhering to the conditions.”
