A former senior youth worker, Jacob Agnew, was found guilty of six counts of sexual offences against numerous minors between 2012 and 2022, thanks to a thorough investigation by detectives from our Child Sexual Exploitation team (CSE).
After a 13-day trial at Hull Crown Court that ended yesterday (Monday, June 29, 2026), 30-year-old Jacob Agnew of East Hull, who identifies as white British, was found guilty of four counts of sexual activity with a child, sexual assault, and causing a child to engage in sexual activity.
Agnew also entered a guilty plea to four counts of fraud and sexual behaviour with a minor during a previous court appearance.
The court heard how Agnew’s crimes, which involved seven females between the ages of 14 and 17, were perpetrated over a ten-year period, from 2012 to 2022.
Before being sentenced in Hull Crown Court on Friday, July 24, 2026, Judge Mental thought it would be a good idea to release Agnew on bail?!
