George Moreby, a then 26-year-old Warton, near Tamworth resident, was convicted of having extreme pornography and indecent child photos on several electronic devices.
When Warwickshire Police carried out a search warrant at Moreby’s residence on The Hills in Warton on April 9, 2022, the incident became public.
Law enforcement officials confiscated a variety of electronic devices during the raid, which were later inspected.
Numerous offensive pictures of children and content categorised as extreme pornography, including bestiality, were found on his devices, according to the forensic examination.
Moreby’s criminal record includes prior convictions for persuading minors to commit sexual acts and possessing pornographic photos.
Moreby was found to have broken a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) that had been placed on him as a result of his prior convictions after his arrest.
Formal charges were brought against him as a result of his violation of this court order and the proof of his possession of extreme pornography and obscene photos.
During a hearing on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, Moreby was finally sentenced to three and a half years in jail in acknowledgement of the seriousness of these acts.
