The Fleet Paedophile from Hampshire, David Thomas, was found guilty of raping a young girl in 2022 and sentenced to ten years in prison.
After a week-long trial, David Thomas, 77, of Aldershot Road, Fleet, was sentenced at Salisbury Crown Court on Friday, April 29.
Additionally, David Thomas was acquitted on a second count of indecent assault.
Between 1984 and 1988, the crimes were committed in Farnborough.
In 2020, it was reported to the police.
Given that David Thomas has been serving a lengthy sentence, Detective Constable Michelle Carrig of Operation Amberstone North stated, “I hope this sentence has given the victim some element of closure.
I want to commend the victim for her bravery in coming out and calling the police after David Thomas perpetrated horrific crimes on her.
