The police are currently conducting an investigation into new allegations of blackmail against television presenter Alison Hammond.
According to reports, the 51-year-old This Morning regular has been subjected to threats by her blackmailer in order to obtain substantial quantities of money and a BMW car valued at $5,000.
According to The Sun, the blackmailer threatened to disseminate false information about Hammond in order to undermine her career if she did not comply with the demands.
After competing in the third series of Big Brother, Hammond first gained recognition in 2002. In the same year, she became a member of the team at This Morning.
Currently, she co-hosts the weekday daytime program on Friday mornings with Dermot O’Leary, a former X Factor host.
