Alexander Boyd, the Oban Paedophile, a 56-year-old man, has been convicted of committing severe sexual offences against children under his care at a residential facility in Oban.
From 1998 to 1999, Alexander Boyd perpetrated rapes, attempted rapes, and sexual assaults.
Alexander Boyd was convicted of four offences at the High Court in Glasgow on Monday, 3 November 2025, and is scheduled to be sentenced at the same court on Tuesday, 9 December 2025.
The offences involved two females under his supervision, and Alexander Boyd’s misconduct was revealed when witnesses reported to the police.
