Jordan Halstead, a deviant Burnley Paedophile, collected a collection of about 2,000 child pornography images on his computer at his apartment.

The crown court of the town was apprised that Jordan Halstead, 38, swiftly extracted four memory sticks from a sock during a police raid at his apartment in January 2011. Officers uncovered photographs depicting the abuse of youngsters, some of whom were restrained.

Jordan Halstead was arrested, exhibited uncertainty about his sexuality, and claimed that he used the images for artistic reasons. In 1992, Burnley Crown Court was apprised of his conviction for indecent assault against a male minor under the age of 14.

Jordan Halstead, removed from proceedings due to legal issues and allegedly experiencing suicidal thoughts, pleaded guilty to 17 counts of making an obscene image of a child and has been remanded for sentencing by Pennine Magistrates.

The defendant, Jordan Halstead, currently residing in Eastbourne, received a three-year community order, accompanied by supervision and a sex offender treatment program. He is required to pay £200 in costs.

Jordan Halstead was registered as a sex offender for five years, prohibited from employment involving minors for life, and issued a five-year sexual offences prevention order, allowing police to oversee his online activity.

David Macro, prosecuting, stated that Halstead possessed 1,908 photographs at level one, 30 at level two, two at level three, four at level four, and 42 at level five, the most severe classification.

On January 15, 2011, law enforcement obtained intelligence indicating that the defendant was affiliated with an online community.

On January 26, they executed a search warrant, after which he promptly went to the toilet, retrieved the memory sticks from a sock, and surrendered them to the police.

When queried about the quantity of pornography present, he responded, “A considerable amount.”

He was apprehended and interrogated, acknowledged that the website catered to those with an affinity for boys, and stated that he departed due to the excessive nature of remarks from other members.

Mr. Macro stated that the defendant informed officers of his previous interest in women, his lack of attraction to young boys, yet his appreciation for their physiques and his inclination to draw them.

The hearing revealed that Jordan Halstead received a conditional discharge in 1992 for placing his hand on a schoolboy’s knee.

James Heyworth, representing the defendant, stated that he had departed from the Burnley region. The barrister stated, “He lost his employment and encountered difficulties as a result of these proceedings.”

During sentencing, Judge Jonathan Gibson stated to Jordan Halstead: “It appears to me that although there are risks, they are risks that can be effectively managed within the community.”
