On 13 July 2026, Liam Pink, aged 38, formerly of Kettering, was sentenced at Northampton Crown Court to four years and four months in prison after pleading guilty to online child sex offences and three breaches of a Sexual Risk Order.
The court heard details regarding an initial investigation launched by Northamptonshire Police following allegations that Pink engaged in explicit, sexual online conversations with a decoy profile posing as a 12-year-old girl. In October 2022, Northampton Magistrates’ Court issued Pink with a five-year Sexual Risk Order (SRO) imposing strict restrictions, including prohibitions against unsupervised contact with under-16s and using unnotified social media accounts or internet-enabled devices.
On 9 April 2026, officers from Northamptonshire Police’s MOSOVO team executed a routine visit to monitor Pink’s compliance. Digital examination of his mobile device revealed Pink had violated the SRO three times between January and March 2026.
Investigators established that Pink had set up an unapproved social media account under an alias without notifying police. Furthermore, evidence indicated he had contact with a child under the age of two without the parents being aware of his court order.
Pink was charged with three counts of breaching his SRO alongside the underlying offences of attempting to cause or incite a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity and attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child. On 3 June 2026, Pink entered guilty pleas to all five charges at Northampton Magistrates’ Court before his case was committed to crown court for sentence.
On 13 July 2026, the presiding judge at Northampton Crown Court jailed Pink for four years and four months. In addition to the custodial sentence, Pink was placed on the sex offenders’ register and issued with an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order, with all details catalogued on the UK Register Database for public record transparency.
