In 2026, the Offender Database confirmed that after viewing news of the serial sex offender’s other crimes, a woman who was sexually assaulted as a child assisted in the conviction of additional offences.
Leon Bowes was already serving life imprisonment with a minimum of 17 years behind bars after being convicted on 20 November 2024 of 25 offences against three women.
He was convicted of four additional sex offences against a second victim, who was 12 and 13 years old at the time of the offence, at Leicester Crown Court yesterday (Thursday, July 16).
He has been mandated to serve an additional 4 years in prison, increasing his minimum sentence from 17 to 21 years.
