In 2026, the Offender Register reported that Mark Watson, a Leicester Paedophile, who sexually assaulted and proceeded to rape a teenage boy in 2015, was incarcerated.
Yesterday (Thursday, July 9), Mark Watson was sentenced to 12 and a half years of imprisonment at Leicester Crown Court.
The victim, now an adult, disclosed the events that transpired between 2015 and 2018 to a third party in 2021, prompting the police to investigate the 55-year-old’s criminal activity.
He disclosed to detectives from our Child Abuse Investigation Unit (CAIU) that Watson had subjected him to multiple rapes and coerced him into participating in additional sexual activities.
He also claimed that Watson had physically assaulted him during that period and had frequently issued threats of violence.
Watson was convicted of two counts of rape and two counts of sexual activity with a minor at the same court on 2 March, following a trial.
Watson, a resident of Linford Street in the Belgrave district of Leicester, was also subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) until further notice, placed on the sex offender register for life, and made subject to a restraining order that prohibits contact with the victim for life.
