Two males, Azad Ahmed and Wasee Shikel, from Cardiff, were responsible for the grooming and exploitation of a vulnerable teenage girl.
In 2021, the Cardiff-based duo was sentenced for their actions against a teenage girl.
Azad Ahmed, a 50-year-old resident of Grangetown, Cardiff, was convicted of two counts of rape against a girl between the ages of 13 and 15, one count of engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl between the ages of 13 and 15, and one count of arranging or facilitating the travel of another individual with the intention of exploitation. He was sentenced to sixteen years in prison.
Wasee Shikel, a 50-year-old resident of Splott, Cardiff, was also sentenced to sixteen years in prison after being convicted of arranging or facilitating the travel of another individual with the intention of exploiting them.
In addition to their sentences, both individuals have been subjected to restraining orders for the duration of their lives in relation to the victim.
