A 23-year-old Hull Paedophile,Toni Andrews, who captured explicit images of children being raped and sexually abused and transmitted them to her romantic partner was incarcerated in 2023 because of an inquiry conducted by the National Crime Agency.

Toni Andrews, a resident of Hull, was discovered to have over 800 illicit photographs and films, many of which depicted child sexual abuse.

She was identified following the conviction of her former lover, Thomas Edeson, 24, residing on Franklin Street, Hull. Edeson was sentenced to a two-year prison term in August 2021 for sexually assaulting a minor and producing indecent photos of her.

The NCA initiated an inquiry into Edeson in May 2021 after receiving a referral from the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). Google had alerted NCMEC about Edeson’s endeavour to publish photographs depicting child sexual assault on the internet.

Upon inspecting his electronic equipment, law enforcement officials uncovered explicit photographs of a minor that seemed to have been captured by Andrews and transmitted to Edeson.

Toni Andrews was apprehended in relation to an incident in December 2021.

During the interview, she acknowledged that she took and sent one of the images to Edeson. However, she claimed to be unaware of his sexual attraction towards minors.

An analysis of Toni Andrews’ electronic equipment, confiscated from her residence before her arrest, uncovered about 100 explicit photos of minors categorised as A-C, more than 500 illicit images of minors, and over 200 instances of highly explicit pornography.

As part of the investigation into Toni Andrews’ criminal activities, Edeson was brought out of prison and examined by National Crime Agency (NCA) officials.

He informed them that Toni Andrews had provided him with explicit photographs of a minor and children’s undergarments, both of which were found by cops at his residence during his arrest.

Today, at Hull Crown Court, a judge imposed a 16-month prison sentence on Toni Andrews and mandated her to register as a sex offender for a period of 10 years.

She had admitted her guilt to a combined total of seven offences during a previous court proceeding, which included the act of capturing inappropriate photographs of a minor, possessing inappropriate images of minors, and possessing very explicit material.

Holly Triggs, a senior investigating officer of the NCA, stated that Toni Andrews infringed upon the privacy and purity of a young girl to cater to her boyfriend’s deviant sexual attraction towards minors.

“The demand for explicit images and videos in the UK is shockingly high, and it is crucial to receive referrals from organisations like NCMEC to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.” At the NCA, our primary objective is to safeguard children from abhorrent abuse and ensure that offenders are brought to trial to receive their rightful punishment.”
