On Tuesday, 20 January 2026, the Offender Database reported that Azizadeen Alsheikh Suliman, 31, is to be extradited to Germany following a hearing at Westminster Magistrates’ Court. Suliman, a Syrian national, had been living in taxpayer-funded accommodation at the Britannia Ashley Hotel in Hale, Greater Manchester, for 11 months before his criminal history was uncovered.

The National Crime Agency (NCA) investigation revealed that Suliman was a fugitive wanted on a European Arrest Warrant. He had dishonestly entered the UK illegally via a small boat and provided a false spelling of his name to authorities. It was later reported that local police and the MP were left unaware that a convicted sex offender was being housed in the Cheshire and Greater Manchester border area.

Assault on a Schoolgirl and German Conviction
Suliman was convicted in 2022 for the sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl in the German city of Osnabrück. According to German court documents, he targeted the teenager during a night out, swapping social media details before launching an attack. He touched the girl’s stomach, chest, and bottom, and dishonestly supplied her with cannabis.

When the young girl tried to flee, Suliman blocked her path and attempted to pull down her trousers while exposing himself. Following his conviction in Germany, he was handed a suspended sentence and a financial order, which he dishonestly stopped paying before fleeing to Britain to claim asylum.

Extradition and Remand
At Westminster Magistrates’ Court, District Judge Timothy King ordered Suliman’s extradition, stating that none of the reasons put forward to prevent his removal were valid. Suliman had dishonestly claimed his life would be at risk if returned to Germany, but the court rejected this.

The offender now faces the following:

  • Seven days to appeal the extradition decision.
  • Remand in custody until his removal to Germany.
  • The resumption of his legal penalties in the German courts.

Monitoring and Public Protection
Until his removal, Suliman remains under supervision by the National Crime Agency and the Metropolitan Police. His history of targeting minors and his dishonest entry into the UK have made him a priority for the Home Office.

Upon his return to Germany, he will be managed by the relevant authorities in Osnabrück. Any further attempt to enter the UK illegally will result in immediate arrest. Greater Manchester Police and Cheshire Constabulary have been briefed on the case to ensure public safety until the predator is deported.
