In 2019, the Offender Database confirmed that Greg Kedienhon, then 27, of no fixed address, was sentenced to 15 years in prison at Peterborough Crown Court. Greg Kedienhon was found guilty of the rape and sexual assault of a young girl in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, following a trial that concluded in early February. The abuse, which began when the victim was just seven years old, took place over two years while Kedienhon was staying at a house in the city.

The court heard that the authorities first became aware of the situation in October 2015 after an anonymous call was made to social services. While the young victim initially disclosed some details, she did not feel ready to reveal the full, harrowing extent of the abuse until a year later. Cambridgeshire Police launched an investigation in 2016, and Greg Kedienhon was subsequently arrested in early 2017. Despite his denials throughout the legal process, the evidence presented at trial led to his conviction on one count of rape and two counts of sexual assault.

Detective Constable Andrea Dollard, who led the investigation, praised the victim’s bravery, noting the “huge impact” the crimes had on her life. Greg Kedienhon was handed a 15-year custodial sentence, with the judge emphasising the predatory nature of the attacks on such a young child. The sentence aims to provide closure for the victim, who was described as remaining patient and courageous throughout the long and complex investigation by Cambridgeshire Police.

As a result of his convictions, Greg Kedienhon was placed on the Sex Offenders Register for life. He was also made subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) for a period of 15 years, which carries strict legal prohibitions. This order explicitly prevents Kedienhon from having any unsupervised contact with children under the age of 18 and bars him from participating in any voluntary or paid activity involving minors. Cambridgeshire Police conduct official monitoring under Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) to ensure he remains under permanent scrutiny.
