In 2025, the Offender Database reported that James Scott, the Brighton Sex Offender, received a sentence after being convicted of sexually abusing a woman in Brighton.
James Scott, aged 45, approached an unfamiliar woman in the St James’s Street vicinity.
Witnesses subsequently observed him perpetrating a sexual attack on the vulnerable victim, whose identity is protected for legal reasons.
She received assistance from specially trained officers after being transported to the hospital following the event.
James Scot, who has no permanent residence, was tried at Lewes Crown Court in December and convicted of three counts of sexual assault.
On December 5, he received an 18-month prison sentence for the charges.
