In 2018, the Offender Database reported that Charles Hall, the Haworth Paedophile Child Molester, a train guard, was sentenced to two years and four months in prison for sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl with whom he was smitten.

Charles Hall, then 58, cultivated a relationship with the adolescent over several months, communicating with her over Facebook and meeting in person often.

Charles Hall, residing on Fallwood Street, Haworth, West Yorkshire, admitted guilt to two counts of engaging in sexual intercourse with a minor and three allegations of possessing obscene images of a child.

On Tuesday, Bradford Crown Court was informed that Charles Hall, employed as a train conductor for Trans Pennine Express, encountered the girl while volunteering for a local group.

In one instance, he made contact with her bare breasts, and in another, she engaged in inappropriate touching of him.

Detectives became aware of Charles Hall’s conduct when a coworker observed him recording himself at a urinal in the workplace.

A coworker expressed concerns after overhearing Charles Hall using inappropriate sexual language directed at the victim during a video conference in the staff mess area.

Upon the seizure and examination of Charles Hall’s work phone by officers, indecent photographs of the victim and inappropriate discussions on Facebook Messenger were discovered.

Charles Hall’s attorney, Mark Brookes, stated that he has no prior convictions.

He felt profoundly regretful and cognisant of the anguish he had inflicted on the girl.

Judge David Hatton QC mandated Charles Hall to register as a sex offender for seven years and issued a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for the same duration.

The judge stated that the over 40-year age disparity between Charles Hall and the complainant constituted an aggravating factor in the case.

He got enamoured with her and sought to earn her trust in order to pursue a sexual relationship.

The inappropriate photographs were captured throughout the grooming procedure.
