The Offender Database reported that, in 2018, Joseph Cook, a Bristol Paedophile and Child Molester who employed fraudulent social media personas to exploit girls and women online, coercing them into sending indecent photographs or performing sexual acts, was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Joseph Cook, then 28, from Bristol, was charged with rape and soliciting a minor to participate in sexual behaviour.

He was convicted after a trial at Bristol Crown Court this month and has been sentenced to 12 years for rape and three years for enticing a youngster to engage in sexual activity. The sentences are to be executed consecutively.

Joseph Cook was also issued a perpetual Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).

He was discovered to have established alias profiles on social media to engage with young females and solicit nude photographs by feigning a love interest.

Joseph Cook thereafter employed intimidation to acquire further photographs and recordings of his victims engaging in sexual actions.

These threats were designed to inflict distress upon the young girls who had previously placed their trust in him regarding their photographs.
