The Offender Database reported that the courageous testimony of a woman, who was raped, assaulted, and imprisoned by Graeme Easton, the Doncaster Rapist, has resulted in her abuser being sentenced to 14 years in prison.

In June 2019, Graeme Easton assaulted his victim by slapping and headbutting her, threatened her with a metal bar and a knife, and spat at her, thereafter preventing her from leaving his residence unless she engaged in sexual intercourse with him.

Following the assault, Graeme Easton continued to prevent her departure and doused her with a beverage as she attempted to escape.

The victim bravely reported the incident to the authorities, prompting an inquiry by the Doncaster Protecting Vulnerable People Team (PVP). Graeme Easton was arrested later that month and, in a police interview, denied assaulting the victim or raping her.

The 60-year-old individual faced charges of false imprisonment, assault resulting in actual bodily harm, sexual assault, and two instances of rape. He persisted in asserting his innocence, pleading not guilty to all charges, which necessitated that the victim undergo a trial.

After persuasive evidence from his victim throughout the trial, Graeme Easton was convicted of false imprisonment, assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH), and two counts of rape at Sheffield Crown Court on 15 August 2025. He was acquitted of sexual assault.

On Friday, November 21, at the same court, Graeme Easton, of St Mary’s Road, Doncaster, received a sentence of 14 years’ imprisonment.
