Gary Lewin, 42, from Huddersfield, was sentenced to 13 years in jail at Leeds Crown Court on Monday, 27 October, after being found guilty of severe sexual offences.

The 42-year-old admitted guilt to five counts of sexual activity with a minor and two counts of soliciting a minor to participate in sexual activity.

The offences occurred between February and September 2024.

A report of the misconduct by Gary Lewin prompted an investigation by the Kirklees District Child Safeguarding Unit.

The 42-year-old was apprehended after being sought for several weeks and committing offences while on bail.

In addition to his sentence, Gary Lewin was subjected to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
