Kai Edmundson, the Oswaldtwistle Paedophile, is an 18-year-old sex offender who poses a threat to ALL children.
During four months, Kai Edmundson manipulated a 14-year-old girl via social media and incited her to engage in self-harm.
The duo never encountered each other in person. She resides in Derbyshire, while Kai Edmundson resides in Oswaldtwistle.
He utilised social media sites Telegram, Discord, and WhatsApp to exploit the vulnerable child.
The victim informed Kai Edmundson that she was 14 when they began conversing via Discord last September.
Kai Edmundson explicitly identified himself as a paedophile and transmitted to her up to five indecent photographs of minors, along with a link to a website containing such images.
The website had photographs of youngsters as young as four years old.
Kai Edmundson also requested photographs and videos of the victim disrobing and engaging in lewd actions on herself.
He instructed her to address him as a repugnant paedophile and articulated his desire to engage in unlawful activities.
During their discussions, Kai Edmundson exacerbated the victim’s eating disorder and instructed her to inscribe his name onto her skin.
Kai Edmundson additionally urged the victim to engage in self-harm and solicited proof of her actions.
Communication between the two ceased on January 31, 2025.
The incident was communicated to our associates at Derbyshire Police, who subsequently visited the victim.
They obtained screenshots of dialogues between the victim and a Discord profile managed by Kai Edmundson.
The investigators observed faint markings on the victim’s neck, indicating the name Kai, which had been etched into the skin.
Kai Edmundson was apprehended on April 1st by officers from the East Internet Child Exploitation Team.
The authorities confiscated his phone, revealing illicit photographs of minors.
After consulting with the Crown Prosecution Service, Kai Edmundson, previously of Oswaldtwistle and currently without a fixed address, was charged with engaging in sexual communication with a minor; causing or inciting a minor to participate in sexual activity; encouraging or assisting serious self-harm; and possessing indecent images of minors.
He admitted guilt to all charges during his appearance at Preston Crown Court earlier this year.
He returned to the dock today, 24th October, and received a sentence of five years and three months in custody.
Kai Edmundson was also subjected to an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order and mandated to register on the Sex Offenders Register for life.
